Can You Say "Charming"

Living the good life here on the central coast of California and playing with creative souls this last weekend....what fun!

Riki Schumacher and I had the pleasure of team teaching this last weekend to a group of fantastic ladies. It doesn't get better than this for Riki and I.....sharing what we love, meeting new people, re-connecting with friends, getting our hands dirty with silver clay, using metalsmithing tools (can you tell Riki LOVES her jeweler's saw....you go girl), seeing the eagerness on students' faces as they learn new techniques, the excitement of seeing each and every fine silver creation emerge from the tumbler all bright and shiny, the pride that comes with accomplishing a difficult technique like making your very first rivet.....

I must apologize for not getting a picture of all of our students. Please visit Riki's blog to see our other students, Charlene, Sandy and Joy.  I'd like to introduce you to Jody and Theresa on the left and mother-daughter duo, Crystal and Claire (16 years old) on the right.  Claire created the sweetest darn elephant charm....a lot of talent in her young 16 years.

Everyone did such an amazing job creating charms, etching, discovering patina, cold connections and learning the importance of problem solving in design.

Well, I must now tidy up my studio, put away all of my teaching supplies and continue working on my Heart-To-Heart Tutorial which I hope to have up and running within the  next few weeks.

I hope to also squeeze in a few movies before the Academy Awards this weekend.  I have only seen one of the films nominated this year.  Well I have 5 days .... I might just have to do a marathon movie day or two. I love films!!!
Have a fabo week!

I read Riki's blog post too. It looks like you were all having a lot of fun. I can remember how much fun Sis and I had when we took the class two years ago.
Love the photos of you two. Glad it all went so well. You and Riki are a wonderful artistic team. Hope to take another class in the future.
See you at Art Is You in Sept.
